Physical Education New Zealand (PENZ) is the national organisation supporting physical education teachers, educators, and school leaders across Aotearoa New Zealand. We're dedicated to empowering educators and helping schools deliver high-quality, inclusive physical education that reflects the diverse needs of all learners. PENZ provides:

- Curriculum-aligned resources and practical teaching tools
- Consultancy and expert advice
- Advocacy for physical education at local and national levels

This work brings together the voices of our community. Teachers, leaders, academics, and rangatahi have all contributed to shaping a clear and grounded articulation of quality Physical Education in Aotearoa New Zealand. It is not a response to the draft. It is a statement of intent about the role and value of our learning area.
We know this is a time of significant change. There is pressure, uncertainty, and a real need for clarity. Our hope is that this Value Proposition reconnects us with what we value most. Movement as learning. Learning as connection. Physical Education as a space where ākonga can experience success, identity, and belonging.
