Notice for Expressions of Interest:

PE Practitioners Advisory Group and PE Tertiary Advisory Group

Physical Education New Zealand (PENZ) is seeking expressions of interest from passionate and experienced individuals to join our PE Practitioners Advisory Group and PE Tertiary Advisory Group. These advisory groups will play a crucial role in the development of resources aimed at supporting the delivery of quality bi-cultural physical education in New Zealand. We aim to represent a diverse range of perspectives and experiences in our initiatives.

Purpose of the Advisory Groups

The advisory groups will collaborate with PENZ to:
• Provide insights and recommendations for resource development.
• Ensure the resources are culturally responsive and inclusive.
• Advocate for best practices in bi-cultural physical education.
• Contribute to the enhancement of physical education programmes across various educational levels.

Skills and Experience Required

We are looking for individuals who possess some or all the following skills and experiences:
• Deep understanding of bi-cultural education: Knowledge and experience in integrating Māori perspectives and practices in physical education.
• Professional experience in physical education: Proven track record in teaching, coaching, or delivering physical education programmes.
• Innovative thinking: Ability to provide creative solutions and ideas for resource development.
• Collaborative mindset: Willingness to work as part of a team, contributing constructively to discussions and projects.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion: Dedication to promoting equitable and inclusive physical education practices.
