NMSSA Health & Physical Education 2017
In 2017 the National Monitoring Study of Student Achievement (NMSSA) study focused on the learning area of health and physical education. NMSSA assessed the subjects of health education and physical education in Critical Thinking in Health and PE, Learning Through Movement, and Wellbeing.
- The Insights Report is designed to support health and physical education (HPE) teaching in primary classrooms. It describes student responses to a selection of tasks from assessment of the HPE learning area carried out by the National Monitoring Study of Student Achievement (NMSSA) in 2017.

Ngā Taonga Tākaro (Traditional Māori Games)
Rangatahi Tū Rangatira (R2R) is a National Training Provider. Their focus is to promote cultural and physical wellbeing for rangatahi Māori, and to encourage the development of rangatahi as future leaders. The website has a number of tākaro that offer an insight into the scope of traditional training methods. Each one has a purpose and develops a wide range of skills physically and mentally.
