The Ministry of Education has placed on hold most of the sector engagement work through the NCEA Review and, in particular, the Review of Achievement Standards (RAS), in order to support the Government’s efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19.

The pandemic situation remains fluid and the Ministry recognises that this may require a review of the NCEA Change Programme’s implementation timelines. They have continued to engage with the education sector and extended the public engagementon on the NCEA Level 1 provisional subject list, until the end of June. As soon as any update is provided as a result of this engagement (or any other related information), PENZ will post this on both our website and Facebook page.
